Yoga Series - A Journey Through Spirit Animals - THE MONKEY

THE MONKEY
Style: Vinyasa Flow
Theme: Devotion • Playfulness • Inner Strength • Leaps of Faith
The fifth class in our Spirit Animal Embodiment series celebrates the lively and loving spirit of the Monkey—an archetype of curiosity, adaptability, and joyful movement.
This class is inspired by Hanuman, the divine monkey god of Hindu mythology. Hanuman is the ultimate embodiment of devotion (bhakti) and selfless service (seva).
Known for his boundless courage and loyalty, Hanuman’s most famous leap—from India to Lanka to rescue Sita—was not driven by pride, but by pure love and unwavering faith.
Through his humility, strength, and playful heart, Hanuman reminds us that our greatest power comes not from ego, but from remembering who we serve—our higher self, our purpose, our community, our truth.
In this uplifting Vinyasa Flow, we channel Hanuman’s energy by exploring:
🔹 Fluid, creative movement to awaken curiosity and inner freedom
🔹 Deep hip and heart opening (preparing the body for Hanumanasana, the front splits)
🔹 Breath and mantra practices to connect to love, faith, and devotion
🔹 Reflection: “What would devotion look like in my movement today? Can I stay connected to something greater than myself, even when the path feels uncertain?”
You don’t need to perfect the pose—you only need to move with heart.
